Hepa Housing Box

A HEPA housing box is a protective enclosure for a HEPA filter, crucial for maintaining high-quality air in sensitive environments like cleanrooms, hospitals, and labs. These boxes are constructed with durable materials such as powder-coated steel or stainless steel and are designed to provide an airtight seal to prevent unfiltered air from bypassing the HEPA filter. They can feature different designs for sealing (gasket or gel) and airflow connection (top or side supply) and often include components like a diffuser to ensure even air distribution and a damper to control airflow.

Key components and features

  • Construction:

Made from durable materials like mild steel (MS) CRCA, powder-coated aluminum, or stainless steel.

  • Filter compatibility:

Available in different types to accommodate specific HEPA filters, such as gasket-seal or gel-seal filters.

  • Sealing:

Built to create an airtight seal, which is essential for the filter's efficiency.

  • Airflow management:

Includes a diffuser plate designed to prevent eddy currents and ensure even air distribution, and a damper to regulate flow.

  • Connections:

Can be configured with a top or side connection for the upstream air supply from the ductwork.

  • Maintenance features:

May include access panels for easy filter replacement and differential pressure (DOP/DP) ports to monitor the filter's condition.

  • Customization:

Available in custom sizes to match the specific dimensions of the filter being used.

Applications

  • Cleanrooms:

Used as a terminal purifying device for cleanrooms to achieve and maintain specific air purity levels.

  • Hospitals:

Utilized in critical areas where air quality is paramount for patient health and safety.

  • Laboratories:

Essential in research and other laboratory settings that require a controlled environment with high-efficiency filtration.

  • Industrial facilities:

Employed in various industrial applications that demand highly filtered air to protect processes or products.
